Bio Sketch

Amy has spent her entire life and career in Michigan. She grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan and graduated from Lincoln Park High School. She attended Wayne State University on a Presidential Scholarship and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences, Cum Laude. Upon completion of her first bachelor degree, Amy pursued her nursing degree at Wayne State University as well. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in an accelerated, second degree program. After several years of nursing experience, Amy completed her Master of Science Degree in Nursing at Wayne State University. Amy is a board certified Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

After Amy obtained her RN licensure, she worked in a Neurotrauma Intensive Care Unit at a local Level One trauma center for over 13 years. There, Amy exhibited leadership qualities as a charge nurse and preceptor to new nurses in the Neurotrauma ICU.

Amy has provided nursing care and treatment to patients with various neurological and neurosurgical conditions including strokes, cerebral aneurysms, intracerebral hemorrhages, arteriovenous malformations, subarachnoid hemorrhages, subdural hemorrhages, epidural hemorrhages, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, myasthenia gravis, encephalopathy, hydrocephalous, Chiari malformations, various brain tumors, scoliosis, kyphosis, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures, degenerative disc disease, spondylolysis, radiculopathies, headaches, back pain, and other conditions.

During the course of her career, Amy has evaluated and treated patients ranging from stable condition to acutely ill. She has collaborated with physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, therapists, and other members of a multidisciplinary health care team to provide quality medical care to patients.

Amy is looking forward to working collaboratively with Dr. Jagannathan, Dr. Delly, and the entire Jagannathan Neurosurgery staff to provide excellent care to patients with neurosurgical and neurological conditions. Amy continues to build upon her neurosurgical and neurological experience by attending conferences and classes in those fields. Her goal is to provide quality, compassionate care to the patients of Jagannathan Neurosurgery.
